Curve Fever Classic – Achtung, die Kurve! in your browser

Curve Fever was one of the most played Flash games of the early 2010s: a fast, chaotic party game where every player steers a growing line and tries to survive the longest. When Adobe Flash was switched off the original stopped working. This is a free, open-source HTML5 remake of Curve Fever 1 that recreates the original's rules, speeds, powerups and computer opponents as closely as possible, so you can play it again without Flash, plugins or downloads. It is itself a remake of the 1995 DOS classic Achtung, die Kurve! (also known as Zatacka).

How to play Curve Fever

  1. Click a player's name or press its number (1–6) and press the two keys you want to steer with.
  2. Add at least two players, or click CPU to add computer opponents.
  3. Choose Arcade (with powerups) or Classic (old-school Achtung, no powerups).
  4. Press Space to play. Space also starts each round and pauses the game; Esc returns to the menu.

Every time a curve crashes, everyone still alive scores a point. The goal is 10 points per opponent, and you have to win by at least 2 points. Lines have random holes you can slip through.

FAQ

Is this the official Curve Fever?

No. It's an unofficial, non-commercial fan remake of the 2010 Flash version, written from scratch in JavaScript. Curve Fever is a trademark of its owners; the modern official game is Curve Fever Pro.

Can I play online against other people?

This version is local multiplayer, like the original: up to 6 people around one keyboard. You can also play against the computer.

Does it work offline?

Yes. After the first visit the game is cached, so it keeps working without an internet connection.
